Please join us on Tuesday, April 14th, as we welcome Dr. Adam Kinnaird, Urologist and Researcher at the Kipnes Urology Centre, Edmonton.

Dr.  Kinnaird has recently been awarded the prestigious 2026 European Association of Urology Imaging Award in London, England, for his pioneering research in prostate cancer diagnostics.

In addition, he has been awarded a $570,000 grant to lead a global clinical trial exploring advanced screening technologies. It’s an honor to have him with us.

We have asked Dr. Kinnaird to speak on three areas of interest to our group:  Prostate Biopsies,  Cryotherapy and his research initiatives

·  how / why (criteria for ) the recommendation for each of the procedures is made,

·  Targeted MRI-guided Biopsy procedure and recovery

·  Recommendation and Qualification / Limitations  for cryotherapy

·  Immediate (days following) cryo follow-up – catheter, meds, aftercare…

·  Post cryo follow-up – how it is ensured that therapy was effective

·  Post procedure urinary function

·  Research initiatives and clinical trials

We typically ask our members for input on what you may like to hear about and what questions you may have. Please send your questions to:  johnbreen426@gmail.com  with the caveat that not all questions might be answered, and that we stay away from details relative to individual cases.  We will pass these questions on to Dr. Kinnaird for his consideration.

As always, you are encouraged to bring along a family member to share the evening, and you may like to invite a friend who may be facing and/or struggling with a PC diagnosis.  Our group is here to offer help and support.

Light snacks and refreshments will be available.

Question and answer session to follow.
