Prostate Cancer Support Edmonton

UPCOMING MEETING SCHEDULE

Tuesday February 10, 2026

Doors open 6:30pm, Meeting: 7:00 pm – 8:45 pm
Wellspring Edmonton House, 11306 65 Ave NW

Our January 13th meeting was very well attended and so informative, as we learned a great deal from Dr Juliet Maina, from Radiation Oncology, at the Cross Cancer Institute. Her presentation was all about  external radiation therapy, how it is applied and how it works in our individual fights against prostate cancer. She was very engaging and provided so many valuable answers to the group.

Our February 10th meeting will be a sharing evening, as we hear from members who have recently joined us, and encourage everyone to engage in relating their situations.  Our group has such a broad range of experience across the spectrum of therapies,  from radiation, different surgeries, and the latest in targeted radioactive therapy with Pluvicto.

Sharing our stories and hearing about our members’ individual experiences is not only informative and helpful in gathering information for our own experience, it can be a source of comfort in dealing with an unsettling diagnosis and helpful in consultations with our medical support teams.

As always,  family members and friends are most welcome to join us.  If you are aware of anyone struggling with PC, or a pending diagnosis, let us know, and we will try to help.

We will provide light snacks and drinks at the meeting.

Talk to a member that has received prostate cancer treatment

You may not want to ask questions at a group meeting. You may want to speak with someone having the same issues. You may want to talk with someone who has gone through the same treatment you are considering. Or after treatment, you may be dealing with complications.
